From Fiber to Future Applications: Kuraray America at CAMX 2026

Kuraray America, Inc. participated in the Composites and Advanced Materials Expo (CAMX) 2026, held September 21–24 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia. CAMX is a major North American event for the composites and advanced materials industry.

At Booth B30, Kuraray America connected with professionals from across the composites and advanced materials industries to discuss technical needs, application challenges, and the possibilities offered by the company’s advanced fiber technologies.

Representing Kuraray America’s Advanced Materials business, Forrest Sloan highlighted the performance and potential applications of VECTRAN™, KURALON™, and KURALON K-II™ fibers. These products are also part of Kuraray America’s Industrial Fibers portfolio.

VECTRAN™ fiber offers a combination of high strength and modulus, dimensional stability, flex-fold fatigue resistance, and thermal properties for demanding applications. These characteristics provide material designers and engineers with opportunities to address performance requirements across a variety of industries. Kuraray America has also previously highlighted the technology alongside KURALON™ and KURALON K-II™ at Techtextil North America 2026.

KURALON™ and KURALON K-II™ fibers offer a range of performance characteristics. KURALON™ fiber provides high tensile strength and alkali resistance, making it suitable for applications including construction and fiber-reinforced materials. KURALON K-II™ expands the possibilities of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) fiber technology with water-soluble grades designed for specialized applications.

CAMX provided the Kuraray America team an opportunity to engage with the advanced materials community and explore how these fiber technologies can help address current and emerging application challenges.
