STLE 2026: Kuraray America Presents Polymer-Based Additives for Lubricants and Grease
Kuraray America, Inc. participated in the 80th STLE Annual Meeting & Exhibition, hosted by the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers, held May 17–21, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency in New Orleans, Louisiana.
During the event, Kuraray presented and exhibited solutions for tribology and lubrication applications, including high-performance polymer-based additives for lubricants and grease.
Junya Takai, Assistant Manager of Product Development Department at Kuraray, delivered the presentation “Kuraray: High-Performance and Cost-Effective Additives for Lubricants and Grease.” The presentation highlighted Kuraray’s commercialized polymer-based additives, including SEPTON™, Kuraray’s hydrogenated styrene block copolymer, and KURARAY LIQUID RUBBER, a liquid-type polymer without diluent oil.
These lubricant additive solutions are designed to provide high thickening efficiency, low-temperature performance, and improved shear stability, supporting both high performance and cost effectiveness. Applications include engine oils, specialty gear oils, hydraulic fluids, metalworking fluids, and various types of grease.
At Booth #806, Kuraray’s Elastomers team connected with attendees and shared more about KURARAY LIQUID RUBBER solutions for lubrication and tribology applications, with multiple grades available to support a range of performance needs.
Kuraray America’s onsite team included Erich K., Junya Takai, and Hoan Tran.
