Kuraray America Showcases Innovative Foam and Adhesive Materials at FOAM EXPO North America 2026
Kuraray America, Inc. successfully participated in FOAM EXPO North America 2026, held June 23–25 at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan. Throughout the event, the company's Isoprene Chemicals Division and Elastomers teams welcomed visitors to Booth #1931 to discuss advanced material solutions for adhesive, polyurethane foam, and elastomer applications.
The Isoprene Chemicals Division, represented by Kenta Usami and Shun Okura, showcased several specialty materials, including:
- MPD (3-Methyl-1,5-Pentanediol): A reactive additive that improves the stability and physical properties of polyurethane (PU) foams.
- Kuraray Polyols: Unique polyester/polycarbonate polyols that provide excellent shock absorption, low compression set, and chemical resistance.
- IPEMA: A multifunctional monomer with two double bonds of differing reactivity, used as a UV-reactive diluent, curing accelerator, building block for reactive polymers, and additive to enhance flame retardancy.
The Elastomers Team, represented by Hoan Tran and Derek Harvey, highlighted Kuraray's advanced elastomer technologies, including:
- SEPTON™, a family of styrenic thermoplastic elastomers for high-performance applications.
- HYBRAR™, a unique block copolymer offering exceptional vibration damping and shock absorption.
- Kuraray Liquid Rubber, a reactive plasticizer with low volatile content that enhances rubber compound performance.
The exhibition provided an excellent opportunity for Kuraray's technical experts to engage with customers, industry partners, and manufacturers while demonstrating how the company's innovative material technologies help enable next-generation foam, adhesive, and elastomer solutions across a wide range of industries.
Kuraray America thanks everyone who visited Booth #1931 and looks forward to continuing conversations and supporting customers with innovative specialty chemical solutions.
