Kuraray America Volunteers Support Baytown Animal Services & Adoption Center

Recently, employees, friends, and family members from Kuraray America, Inc. volunteered at the City of Baytown Animal Services & Adoption Center to help support local animal welfare efforts and community engagement initiatives.

A team of 13 volunteers participated in hands-on activities throughout the day, including making toys for animals, cleaning and preparing shelter spaces, and spending time with pets awaiting adoption.

Support for the shelter also extended beyond the volunteer event itself, with employees contributing donations of blankets and bedding items to help meet the shelter’s ongoing needs.

Special thanks to volunteer leads Kristi Murray, Merissa Spurgeon, and Kayla Mero for helping coordinate the initiative and create a meaningful experience for everyone involved.

As Kuraray approaches its 100th anniversary in June 2026, supporting the communities where we operate continues to remain an important part of Kuraray America’s culture and ESG Community Engagement efforts.
