Kuraray America Supports STEM Education at the 2026 LPISD STEM Legacy Festival
Kuraray America, Inc. was proud to participate in the 2026 LPISD STEM Legacy Festival at La Porte High School, where our team of 23 volunteers connected with students and families through hands-on science activities.
As a primary sponsor, the Kuraray Foundation of America, Inc. (KFA) provided $10,000 in support of this event. KFA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that oversees charitable contributions and sponsorships to Kuraray Group employees and their communities.
Through sponsorships like this, Kuraray America, Inc. is proud to highlight KFA’s commitment to supporting meaningful community events and creating opportunities for education, connection, and engagement.
At our booth, attendees explored:
Bouncy ball making stations that introduced students to material properties and simple chemistry.
A marble run station that explored the physics behind motion, speed, and path design.
A catapult launch activity that let students test force, angle, and distance through hands-on play.
This year’s event welcomed more than 400 students and with families and community members included, more than 1,000 attendees participated in the evening’s activities.
As Kuraray approaches its 100th year, events like this reflect our continued commitment to supporting STEM education and investing in the communities where we operate.
A special thank you to our volunteers and their families for helping support this event: Reshma Bond, Brooke Kuithe, Fenix Alvarez, Storm Almanza, Monica Casas, Wendy C., Andrew Erchinger, Anita Jones, MBA, Bryan Le, Jennifer Leszczynski, Bryce Smith, Angelica Sorto
