Kuraray America Summer Interns 2026 Volunteer at Houston Food Bank

As part of Kuraray America, Inc.’s commitment to community engagement and employee development, a group of interns and employees recently volunteered at the Houston Food Bank, helping support families and individuals experiencing food insecurity across Southeast Texas.

The volunteer event provided participants with an opportunity to give back to the local community while building stronger connections outside the workplace. For many of the interns, including those returning for a second volunteer experience, the event reinforced the importance of teamwork, service, and corporate citizenship.

Working together during the morning shift, the team helped prepare more than 8,000 meals for distribution throughout the region. Volunteers assisted with a variety of tasks, including sorting donations, conducting quality checks, and preparing food items for delivery. Each activity played an important role in supporting the Houston Food Bank’s mission of providing food assistance to those in need.

Beyond the impact on the community, the event also created an opportunity for interns and employees to strengthen professional relationships and collaborate in a different environment. Through shared service and purpose, participants experienced firsthand how teamwork can make a meaningful difference.
