Kuraray America, Inc. participated in the SPE Hydraulic Fracturing Technology Conference & Exhibition (HFTCE), held February 3–5 at the Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center in The Woodlands, Texas, where the company highlighted its advanced polymer solutions for hydraulic fracturing applications.

During the event, Kuraray showcased POLY LOC™, a premium diverting agent designed to provide temporary diversion and enhance stimulation of perforation clusters in targeted zones. The solution is engineered to address key challenges in well stimulation by improving fluid distribution and optimizing overall treatment effectiveness.

POLY LOC™ features a highly swellable, water-soluble polymer composition that dissolves completely in water across all pH conditions. These properties enable efficient temporary diversion while minimizing residue, supporting cleaner operations and improved performance in hydraulic fracturing processes.

At Booth #620, attendees connected with Kuraray’s PVOH team, including Rina Takeshita, Gabe Ghebremeskel, Ph.D., and John Kim, to learn more about how POLY LOC™ and related polymer technologies can support evolving industry demands.

Kuraray’s presence at HFTCE 2026 reflects its continued commitment to delivering practical, performance-driven solutions that help operators enhance well productivity and efficiency.
