Kuraray America Celebrates 2026 Intern Cohort on National Intern Day

Kuraray America, Inc. (KAI) recently brought together its 2026 intern cohort to celebrate National Intern Day, recognizing a summer filled with hands-on experience, professional growth and new connections.

Interns from across KAI, including participants from North Carolina and West Virginia, joined colleagues and mentors in the Houston area for a day focused on reflection, appreciation and team building.

Throughout the summer, interns had the opportunity to take on new projects, learn from experienced professionals and contribute to work across the organization. National Intern Day provided an opportunity to step away from their day-to-day responsibilities and reflect on the experiences, lessons and relationships developed during their internships.

The celebration included lunch and time to share highlights from the summer before the group headed to Urban Air Adventure Park for an afternoon of friendly competition, obstacle courses and team activities.

The event was also an opportunity to recognize the employees who supported the interns throughout their experience. Mentors across KAI provided guidance, shared knowledge and helped interns gain valuable exposure to their respective areas of the business.

Special recognition goes to LaJasmine Fitch, SHRM-CP, and Ashley Joyner for their leadership of KAI’s intern initiative and for organizing experiences that helped interns learn, grow and connect throughout the summer.

For the 2026 interns, the program provided more than an introduction to the workplace. It created opportunities to gain practical experience, build professional relationships and better understand how their individual contributions can support a larger organization.

As the summer internship program comes to a close, KAI celebrates the hard work, curiosity and energy the interns brought to their teams.
