Kuraray America Corporate Governance Team Gives Back Through Local Volunteer Service
On Tuesday, June 2, members of Kuraray America, Inc.’s Corporate Governance team volunteered at Pasadena Community Ministries, supporting the organization’s mission to serve individuals and families in need throughout the local community.
The service project brought together nine volunteers who contributed a combined 27 service hours across several areas of support. Throughout the day, the team assisted clients with food carts, helped fulfill and stock food pantry orders, supported operations in the clothing room, folded bags, and stepped in wherever additional help was needed.
These efforts directly supported community members seeking access to essential food and clothing resources. By assisting with day-to-day operations, the team helped Pasadena Community Ministries continue providing meaningful support to individuals and families who rely on its services.
For the Corporate Governance team, the experience was both impactful and rewarding. Volunteers had the opportunity to engage directly with the community and see the immediate value of lending time and support to an organization serving people on the ground.
The project also reflected the power of service beyond the workplace. Morgan, Kuraray’s summer Legal intern, has already taken the initiative to organize a return visit with friends, demonstrating continued interest in giving back. Frank’s daughter also joined the volunteer effort, highlighting Pasadena Community Ministries’ inclusive volunteer model, which welcomes individuals high school age and older.
Pasadena Community Ministries continues to have a strong need for volunteer support, and group participation can make a meaningful difference in helping the organization serve the community.
Kuraray America thanks Pasadena Community Ministries for the opportunity to support its work and appreciates the Corporate Governance team members and extended participants who gave their time to serve others.
