The Juice Box Challenge to support Houston Kids’ Meal Inc.
As part of Kuraray America, Inc.’s ongoing ESG Community Engagement efforts, employees across KAI participated in the Juice Box Challenge in support of Kids' Meals, Inc. and its mission to help fight childhood hunger in the Houston community.
Summer months can be especially challenging for families experiencing food insecurity, as many children lose access to school-provided meals during the break. Kids’ Meals, Inc. helps bridge that gap by delivering free, healthy meals directly to preschool-aged children and, when possible, their siblings, making community support initiatives like this especially meaningful.
Through employee participation and friendly team competition, KAI collected more than 500 juice boxes to help support local children and families.
A special thank you to Merissa Spurgeon for coordinating the initiative and personally delivering the donations on behalf of KAI.
At Kuraray America, we remain committed to supporting the communities where we operate and creating opportunities to make a positive local impact through volunteerism, engagement, and outreach initiatives.
