As part of our National Safety Month spotlight series, we’re proud to recognize Rebecca Price Rhoden, CSP, one of our Corporate HSES Managers at Kuraray America, Inc. (KAI), for her leadership in advancing a proactive, people-driven approach to safety across all our sites.

Beyond Compliance: Building a Culture of Engagement with Responsible Care®

The most sustainable safety improvements come from within. Rebecca Price Rhoden, CSP doesn't just implement our programs, she empowers our employees to lead them, creating systems where our teams take genuine ownership of their safety outcomes. For Rebecca, that mindset is guided by Responsible Care® and embedded into every level of our operations, covering safety, security, product stewardship and environmental performance.

Rebecca leads the Responsible Care® and Contractor Safety programs across all KAI facilities, ensuring our sites operate with both consistency and intention. From launching structured training and leading internal audits to supporting managers through program development, she helps build systems that are not only compliant but also proactive and people-centered. Her work also helped drive award-winning improvements at our EVAL site, advancing safety and environmental performance for our teams and the communities we serve.
