Calendering
Calendering is a manufacturing process in which a material, often a polymer or rubber, passes through heated or polished rollers to form sheets, films, coatings, or laminates with controlled thickness and surface finish. The process can affect orientation, smoothness, gauge uniformity, gloss, and downstream converting performance.
