Acoustic Transmission Loss
Acoustic transmission loss is a measure of how effectively a material or layered structure reduces sound as it passes through. It is commonly used to compare noise-control performance in glazing, films, panels, laminates, and other engineered materials where sound reduction, vibration control, and occupant comfort are design goals.
