The Kuraray Group celebrated its 100th anniversary in June 2026. To mark this milestone, the Group adopted its corporate tagline, “Possible starts here,” and the accompanying brand story as the guiding concept for its centennial initiatives.
While honoring those who helped build its first century, the Group is undertaking a variety of initiatives designed to help shape the next 100 years.
At the heart of these initiatives are Kuraray Group employees around the world. The Group aims to give employees opportunities to connect across departments, countries, and languages. Through these efforts, the Group seeks to foster a stronger sense of unity and connection among its employees worldwide.
One of these initiatives was “100 Challenge,” a dedicated app inspired by an idea from younger employees.
Through the “100 Challenge” app, employees took on 100 different challenges within the app, earning points for each one they completed. Their cumulative points supported social contribution activities. The app was designed to give Kuraray Group employees worldwide a shared experience regardless of their location or role, with their individual efforts contributing to both the creation of a commemorative mosaic artwork and to charitable donations.
By bringing together the small challenges undertaken by individual employees, the initiative demonstrated how individual actions can create a meaningful collective impact, reflecting the values that the Kuraray Group has long cherished.
