New Production Line at Kuraray Noritake Dental's Miyoshi Plant Begins Operations

— Strengthening Supply Capacity to Meet Growing Global Demand for Dental Materials —

Kuraray Noritake Dental Inc. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Satoshi Yamaguchi) announces that a new production line has commenced operations at its Miyoshi Plant in Aichi Prefecture.
Through equipment relocation and capacity expansion, annual production capacity for inorganic dental materials, including zirconia products and porcelains, has increased by 60 tons, bringing the plant's total production capacity to 300 tons per year.

Background of the Capacity Expansion

  • Kuraray Noritake Dental maintains two production sites for dental materials: the Miyoshi Plant in Aichi Prefecture and the Niigata Plant in Tainai City, Niigata Prefecture. The Miyoshi Plant manufactures inorganic dental materials such as zirconia products and porcelains.
  • In recent years, global demand for zirconia products has continued to grow, driven by the increasing adoption of CAD/CAM-enabled digital dentistry and the expansion of the esthetic dentistry market. In particular, zirconia blocks have seen growing acceptance, especially in North America, due to their contribution to shorter treatment times. Production volumes of related products have therefore continued to rise.
  • To meet this growing demand and prepare for further market expansion, Kuraray Noritake Dental launched a new production line at the Miyoshi Plant, relocated production equipment, and expanded production capacity.
