08/03/2022 7th Kuraray Sara Takanashi Cup Junior Summer Jump Asahi Competition

On July 28, 2022, Kuraray Co., Ltd. sponsored the "7th Kuraray Sara Takanashi Cup Junior Summer Jump Asahi Competition" with the support of the Asahi Ski Federation, Shibetsu City, and the Shibetsu City Board of Education.  One of our employees, Sara Takanashi, a ski jumper, participated in the event as one of the organizers, helping to prepare for the competition, registering junior jumpers , and handing out participation prizes. She also took photos, signed autographs, and interacted with the junior jumpers.  In response to her wish to increase the number of tournaments in which junior jumpers can participate, we have been holding this tournament since 2015 as part of our social contribution activities.
This year’s tournament was attended by 68 junior jumpers ranging from third grade elementary school to third grade junior high school.
The bibs worn by this year’s participants were designed by her. She said, "If you have the desire to fly, you can fly. I hope that everyone who participates will grow wings.”
