07/04/2013 Press conference about Sara’s affiliation with Kuraray

A press conference about Sara’s affiliation with Kuraray was held at The Westin Tokyo. It consisted mainly of a talk between Sara and Kuraray Representative Director and President Fumio Ito, as well as the first appearance by the Kuraray Cheering Squad. Sara said, “I’m so happy to have a cheering squad! In the past many people have lent me power by giving me support, so I am thrilled to have a cheering squad to back me up!” This comment made the cheering squad very happy as well.
Sara seemed a bit nervous, but she also showed off a kind, happy expression and natural smiles during many parts of the press conference. For example, a ceremony was held in which she was presented with a stuffed version of Kuraray-Chan, the character that stars in Kuraray’s commercials. Her aunt, who works at Kuraray EVAL Europe, also appeared as a special guest.
The Kuraray Group will stand behind Sara as she broadens her scope of activities across the world. We wish you the best of luck, Sara!
