Kuraray has announced its decision to increase the prices of hydrogenated styrenic thermoplastic elastomers SEPTON, HYBRAR and "TU polymer" for shipments commencing June 1, 2011. Details of the revisions are given below.
Crude oil and naphtha prices have continued to increase since the latest price revision in February this year. In addition, crude C4 stream related raw materials are expected to climb even higher. The accompanying rapid rises in costs for both raw materials and utilities are far exceeding the Company’s own cost reduction endeavors. Under these circumstances, to maintain a steady supply and to improve profitability, Kuraray has decided to implement the price revisions set out below.
