Kuraray markets polyamide fibers and resins for various applications. GENESTAR™ heat-resistant polyamide resin is a long-chain polyphthalamide (PPA) made from Kuraray’s C9-technology.

GENESTAR™ combines high-temperature performance with chemical resistance and low water absorption. This product is used in the automotive industry for demanding applications such as gears, fuel lines and thermostat housings. In the electrical and electronics industry, it is mainly used for reflow connectors thanks to its JEDEC MSL 1 blister resistance.

PA9T polyamide fibers are used in specialty and high-performance paper, for example, separators for capacitors. This fiber has high temperature and chemical resistance.
