Kuraray was founded in 1926.
Its name is derived from Kurashiki, the Japanese city where it was established, and rayon fibre, which was the first product it manufactured.
1965 | First branch of Kuraray Co., Ltd. in Hamburg |
1968 | Branch relocated to Düsseldorf, Germany |
1991 | Establishment of Kuraray Europe GmbH in Düsseldorf |
1995 | Establishment of Kuraray EVAL Europe GmbH in Düsseldorf |
1997 | Establishment of EVAL Europe N.V. based in Antwerp |
1999 | Start of production at EVAL in Antwerp |
