Ali Sakhi makes sure of that. He completed an apprenticeship in materials testing in the mechanical testing group in the R&D department. He tests the strength and load-bearing capacity of films and their behaviour under various conditions. The data obtained help refine and improve the materials. Stimulating tasks that enable him to develop specialist and personal competencies.
Apprenticeships with a future
Quality has top priority for Pascal Loureiro da Silva – both for products and in his role in vocational training. Having completed his apprenticeship as a chemical lab technician, he now works as deputy lab manager in the quality control lab in the MOWITAL® plant. Since 2022, he has been passing his knowledge on as an instructor, focusing on a strong team, space for learning and long-term perspectives.
Securing digitalization
Cybersecurity and decision intelligence are essential for Kuraray.
Sascha Hollingshaus leads the teams in this area of the DX-IT department and makes sure that systems stay secure and data-based decisions optimize daily work. That paves the way for the development of innovative products and optimization of operational workflows.
Establishing new processes
Beatriz Blas Molinos is responsible for ensuring that development processes run smoothly at Kuraray. Her role is to improve established workflows, optimize plant and machinery and coordinate various departments to make sure Kuraray’s products meet the highest requirements.
Fascinating and varied tasks
Shu-Hsien Li shows how flexibly careers at Kuraray can develop. She has a doctorate in chemical engineering and joined Kuraray as a lab technician in 2016. Now she leads a team in the Safety, Health and Sustainability department, where she is responsible for product stewardship and compliance. As well as offering her career opportunities, Kuraray gave her the flexibility she needed to combine family life and work.
