Diols are key components in the chemical industry. They can be  used in the production of polyesters, polycarbonates and polyurethanes. Kuraray offers 3-methyl-1,5-pentanediol (MPD) and 1,9-nonanediol (ND).

The methyl branch of MPD provides many distinctive properties: low viscosity, hydrolysis resistance, wide-ranging compatibility and flexibility. Our diols and polyols are the basis for developing innovative new polymers.
