Overview
MOLD MAGIC™ is a plastic molded hook fastener that Kuraray Fastening Co., Ltd. began manufacturing in 2011. By providing three sizes of hooks, the thickness can be selected from 0.7mm to 1.3mm. Additionally, three types of materials are available, and by combining them with hook sizes, a wide range of bonding strengths from soft to high can be achieved, making it usable in various applications.

It is a plastic molded hook fastener based on extrusion molding. Unlike woven hook-and-loop fasteners, it offers flexibility in selecting raw materials (polyamide, polyester, polypropylene, etc.) and hook sizes due to the extrusion molding method. It provides design flexibility in shape and density. By increasing the hook size, it can achieve more than three times the tensile shear strength of MAGIC TAPE™, making it suitable for applications such as fixing interior materials in automobiles. By reducing the hook size, it can eliminate the prickly feeling seen in woven hook-and-loop fasteners, providing high tensile shear strength, and is used in shoes and supporter materials. As a hook-and-loop fastener with diverse hook sizes and materials that can be designed to meet user needs, it is utilized in a wide range of fields, from medical and underwear applications to industrial products such as automotive interior fixing materials.
