~Presenting hollow fiber membranes, PVA gel, activated carbon and other Group water treatment technologies~ Kuraray Group to participate in Vietnam's No.1 International Water show

Kuraray Co., Ltd. and five other Group companies (Kuraray Trading Co., Ltd; Kuraray Chemical Co., Ltd.; Kuraray Aqua Co., Ltd.; Kuraray Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd.; and KURARAY TRADING VIETNAM CO., LTD.) will participate in the Japan Booth (organized by Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO)) at VIETWATER 2013, No.1 International Water show in Vietnam, held in Ho Chi Minh City between October 16 and 18.

The Kuraray Group has positioned the creation and expansion of new businesses in the area of water and the environment as a vital management issue and is leveraging its collective Group strengths to accelerate the Aqua Business. By participating in this industry show, we will strive to raise awareness of the Group's water treatment technologies and develop the market in Southeast Asia.

1.Background for our Participation

In Vietnam, drainage and water quality regulations are being strengthened in step with the country's rapid economic development, and interest is quickly increasing in sewage treatment, waterworks and other water treatment technologies. This International Water show is Vietnam's largest for water treatment, with. last year's drawing 6,630 visitors and 278 companies/groups from 24 countries.

2.Main Content of the Exhibit

Hollow fiber membranes for water treatment.

We will post exhibition panels related to water treatment technology using the compact and efficient treatment features of hollow fiber membranes.

PVA gel for wastewater treatment.

We will post exhibition panels of PVA gel which offers high-rate industrial and household wastewater treatment in a compact system compared to activated sludge and other conventionally methods.

Activated carbon

We will post exhibition panels and display samples of activated carbon used for the treatment of drinking and wastewater, adsorption and elimination of gases and chemicals.
