The Kuraray Group company, Kuraray Medical Inc. (a wholly owned subsidiary of Kuraray Co., Ltd., Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has decided to move forward on the main construction of a new dental materials production facility. Following the decision and announcement to construct the new plant in scrap-and-build style in October 2008, the commencement of construction was postponed in response to the rapid deterioration of the economic situation. It was, however, judged that an expansion of domestic and international demand could be anticipated in the future. The overview of the new plant, slightly revised from original plans, is as follows.
