KURARAY CO., LTD. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Hitoshi Kawahara) held a management briefing for institutional investors and analysts, on the theme of growth opportunities of PVOH resin business.
PVOH is a water-soluble polymer that Kuraray was the first in the world to successfully industrialize in 1950. It is used in numerous applications such as water-based adhesives, water-based coatings for specialty papers, and soluble unit dose systems for detergent, and is an indispensable material for a variety of our products such as optical-use poval film, PVB film, KURALON™ PVA fiber.
At the briefing, we introduced the strengths of our vinyl acetate chain, centered on PVOH resin, the features of our high performance products, and our future growth prospects.
