Kuraray Co., Ltd.

Kuraray Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Hitoshi Kawahara; hereinafter “Kuraray”) hereby announces its decision to donate approximately US$45,000 to the NGO Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH)* and approximately US$45,000 to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) for humanitarian assistance related to the situation in Ukraine.

Poland is hosting a large number of people displaced from Ukraine. The Company’s U.S. subsidiary MonoSol, LLC. is constructing a new plant in Poland, and has decided to make these donations to the above NGOs in order to provide humanitarian aid in the country.

Furthermore, MonoSol, LLC. will match donations made by its employees, while Kuraray’s European subsidiary, Kuraray Europe GmbH, will also match donations made by its employees, in addition to providing supplies, housing and other support to those who have been displaced.

The Kuraray Group fervently hopes that the world will return to peace and safety as soon as possible.
