Kuraray Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) announces its decision to implement a 20% increase in the price of poval film. Revisions will affect domestic and overseas shipments commencing August 1, 2011.

The recent rises in crude oil and naphtha prices have significantly increased the costs of raw materials and utilities. To ensure a steady supply and maintain profitability, Kuraray has implemented the following price revisions.

In addition to optical-use film, Kuraray's versatile poval film has many applications including fiber and textile product packaging, water-soluble film and mold-release film.
