Kuraray Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Fumio Ito; "Kuraray") announces that the AMARETTA luxury nubuck-type man-made leather it developed will be featured in five flagship men's apparel brands—including "ILFARO by LUCIANO BARBERA" , "SANYO"—marketed by Sanyo Shokai Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Masahiko Sugiura; "Sanyo Shokai"). In addition, the use of AMARETTA will be expanded in this year's new lineups of men's outerwear for fall and winter.

AMARETTA, which is made of Kuraray-produced microfiber using Kuraray's propriety nonwoven fabric technologies and finishing processes, features the elegant, "raised nap" feel of nubuck (a feel that is smoother than suede), a high-quality appearance, and a soft and supple texture. Lighter than natural leather, another special characteristic of AMARETTA is its easy-care cleaning.

This is the third year that AMARETTA has been used by Kuraray and Sanyo Shokai in these men's apparel brands since its introduction in 2006. This year, soft-textured materials that incorporate wind-resistant films are being presented in addition to the AMARETTA fabric that has been featured until now.

The AMARETTA Fair will be held at department store outlets nationwide that stock these brands—including "ILFARO by LUCIANO BARBERA" , "SANYO"—from Wednesday, October 29 to Tuesday, November 11.
