Kuraray Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Yasuaki Wakui; "Kuraray") announces that the AMARETTA luxury nubuck man-made leather it has developed will be featured in the new autumn/winter collections of several flagship men's apparel brands-The Scotch House, Paul Stuart and ILFARO by LUCIANO BARBERA-marketed by Sanyo Shokai Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Kazuo Tanaka; "Sanyo Shokai").

AMARETTA, which is made of Kuraray-produced microfiber using Kuraray's proprietary nonwoven fabric technologies and finishing processes, features the elegant, "raised nap" feel of nubuck (a feel that is smoother than suede), a high-quality appearance, and a soft and supple texture. About 30% lighter than natural leather, another special characteristic of AMARETTA is its easy-care cleaning.
PARCASSIO, one of the AMARETTA series of high-value-added products that is gaining favor and utilizes the same type of finishing processes as natural leather, duplicates the soft, natural feel even more faithfully.

Sanyo Shokai has recently introduced AMARETTA jackets, blousons and coats for The Scotch House, Paul Stuart, ALLEGRI, ILFARO by LUCIANO BARBERA and Sanyo Coat. In addition, The Scotch House, Paul Stuart and ILFARO by LUCIANO BARBERA have also been using PARCASSIO.

The appeal of AMARETTA garments will be on show throughout Japan at the AMARETTA Fair, being held at department store outlets that stock the above-mentioned brands from October 20 to November 5, 2006.
