Kuraray Plastics Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka, President: Katsuhiko Kishi) has recently developed a new line of combination rubber and plastic hoses, and will launch full-fledged sales on November 28, 2005 for applications related to vacuum and other cleaners, polishing machinery, powder conveying, etc.
Kuraray Plastics has previously engaged in the business of abrasion resistant hoses for use in shipbuilding, steel and other industries. Leveraging the features of its hoses, including plasticity, low-temperature and heat resistance, abrasion resistance, antistatic properties and a colorful array of tones, Kuraray Plastics developed and will launch sales of the new hoses in response to user demand for lightweight and flexible hoses for use in vacuum and other cleaners, polishing machinery, powder conveying and other applications.
The spiral brace material used in the series of products is polypropylene, colored green, with a thinly designed rubber portion for lighter weight and greater flexibility. Abrasion resistant rubber is employed, and the rubber portion folds to the outside when bent, making it structurally difficult for the interior surface to be worn away.
This sort of hose outperforms polyvinyl chloride hoses in terms of lightweight and abrasion-resistance properties, and it can be used in a wide range of temperatures from -30℃ to 80℃, retaining superior flexibility without becoming hard even during the winter season.
