On May 12, 2004, the Board of Directors of Kuraray Co., Ltd., acting in accordance with the Law for Special Provisions for the Commercial Code Concerning Audits, etc., of Kabushiki-Kaisha(Joint Stock Companies) Article 16-3, approved a resolution to publish Kuraray's statements of accounts (balance sheets and statements of profit and loss) electronically beginning with the fiscal year ended March 31, 2004. Accordingly, instead of the publication of this information in the Nihon Keizai Shimbun as formerly required in the articles of incorporation of Kuraray, it will henceforth be posted on Kuraray web site:
Note: Balance sheets and statements of profit and loss for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2004 will be posted at the above address following their announcement at the General Meeting of Shareholders scheduled for June 25, 2004.
